Niels Laupert

Niels Laupert (born April 11, 1975 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German director , producer and screenwriter .

biography

Niels Laupert grew up in Kronberg im Taunus and, after graduating from high school, initially worked for various film productions and post-production companies.

In 1997 he studied production and media economics for four years at the University of Television and Film in Munich . He then received special permission from his professors for further studies. In 2006 he graduated with a degree in cinema and television directing. His graduation film Seven Days Sunday received the Mentor Award at the premiere at the 2007 Munich Film Festival . The film was shown and awarded at other renowned national and international festivals. The international premiere took place at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in January 2008. The North American premiere took place at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City in April 2008.
