The Product G & B is an R & B - duo consisting of members David McRae and Marvin Moore-Hough. G&B stands for Ghetto & Blues.

Career

The two musicians are from New York and got together when they were 13 years old. They were later discovered by Wyclef Jean when they happened to be on the Sony Music label and signed by him.

They had their greatest success the following year with the world hit Maria Maria together with Carlos Santana , who reached number one in many countries, including the USA, Germany and Switzerland. Maria Maria reached number 14 on the US Billboard bestseller list.

Maria Maria was written and composed by The Product G&B, Carlos Santana, Wyclef Jean and J. Duplessis. Marvin Moore was the singer of the title. The Grammy Award (best pop performance by a duo or group with vocals) for the song went to Santana and his band alone.

The Product G&B subsequently worked on various other pieces and in 2001 their debut album Ghetto & Blues was released by J Records . It was also the first release from Wyclef Jeans Label. The first single Cluck Cluck found in the soundtrack to Dr. Dolittle 2 usage. With the title Dirty Dancin ' they were able to land another success in the US dance charts (number 13).

After that it became a little quieter for the duo, although further publications appeared by the end of the 2000s, including with 50 Cent or the rap group Onyx . The two also realized solo projects. Moore released the solo album The Story of Marvin Moore and the single It's Been a Long Time in 2010 under the name Money Harm . David McRae alias Sincere (also Sincere Gubano ) joined the soul rock band Guitars N Bandanaz .

On May 31, 2013, together with the German rapper Prince Kay One, released the single VIP which entered the top 5 and top 10 of the official charts in various European countries.

On May 23, 2014, "The Product G&B" released the EP "Summer Nights in Brazil" (Universal Music) together with DJ Mr. Da-Nos, in keeping with the soccer World Cup in Brazil. The EP immediately reached number 1 in the iTunes album charts and was nominated by MTV for the EMA's 2014.

The Product G&B are currently touring Europe. Another single will be released in March 2015, and another album including features with various world-renowned musicians in early 2015.
