Mr. Da-Nos
Mr. Da-Nos (* 14. July 1981 in Seuzach ; bourgeois Roland Bunkus ) is a Swiss House - DJ and producer .
life and career
Growing up in Seuzach near Winterthur, Roland Bunkus showed an early interest in music: at the age of seven he learned to play the violin and later his first appearances with his own band, where he played drums and keyboards. After starting out in the RnB and Hip-Hop scene, he soon discovered his passion for house music. His artist name also comes from these early beginnings: Mr. Da-Nos is a combination of his former nickname and the hobby NOS tuning.
In 2000, Mr. Da-Nos became resident DJ and mixer for the Kingshouse compilation . Due to the response, he made music his main job and founded his own agency. In 2003 he went to number 1 in the Swiss Dance Charts with his single I Promised You Anything . In 2004 he was represented for the first time in the Swiss charts for several weeks with his album Groove Music . For his video and his single Long Train Running , he was recognized as a dance award winner in 2004 and the Swiss Music Award in 2014 .
Mr. Da-Nos has been playing at the Street Parade in Zurich since 1996 and has been represented there with his own love mobile since 2000. In 2011 he was the anthem-giver of the event with the single Calling for Love for the 20th anniversary . With his album World Tour Sydney , his appearance at the New York Fashion Week , at the Berlin Love Parade as well as his regular events in Lloret de Mar , Rimini, Croatia and Germany, he has made international appearances. Since 2007 he has been producing his own radio show for Radio Planet 105.
Together with the singer Matthew Tasa, he applied for the Swiss qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the soul ballad Let go .
Mr. Da-Nos produced the soundtrack for the German movie 3 Turks and a Baby , which opened in German cinemas on January 23, 2015. The first single from it, Holding On , which he recorded with Nico Santos , placed 42 in the Swiss charts. A short time later he released his fifth studio album, Red 2K15 .
In 2016 he reached a place in the Swiss single charts with the songs Why Did You Leave and Unique , which were created with the German singer Akay Kayed . In 2017 he published the anthem for the artist show of the same name in Zurich with the song Ohlala . The deep house track reached number five on the Swiss dance charts.
