Valentin Lusin

Valentin Lusin (born February 22, 1987 in Leningrad , Soviet Union ) is a Russian-born dancer and dance sports trainer .

Life

Lusin started dancing as a child. At the age of seven he came to Düsseldorf. Here he started dancing at the age of nine. He danced with Claudia Nandzik from September 1997 to August 2001 and then with Olga Nesterova until June 2003. Since summer 2003 he has been dancing with Renata Busheeva . The couple dances in the TD Tanzsportclub Düsseldorf Rot-Weiss . It was multiple national champions in the main group S- Standard and S- Latin and won various ranking tournaments. In addition, it won the German championship over 10 dances twice and took top places in national and international championships.

The couple belonged to the national A-team and took first place several times in the ranking of the main group standard of the German Dance Sport Association (most recently on February 28, 2017). In autumn 2017 the couple switched to the professionals in the German Dance Sports Association.

Lusin danced for two years in the standard formation of the TD TSC Düsseldorf Red-White. From summer 2013 until the end of the 2015/2016 season, he was alongside Oliver Seefeldt coach of the A-team of the formation community TSZ Aachen / TD TSC Düsseldorf Red-White, which competed in the 1st Latin Bundesliga. Since the 2018/2019 season he has been coaching the standard formation of the Braunschweiger TSC alongside Rüdiger Knaack and Thomas Kitta . He also works as a trainer for the standard tournament pairs at TD TSC Düsseldorf Rot-Weiss and TSC Schwarz-Gelb Aachen .

Lusin studied sport and biology to become a teacher at the University of Cologne and the Sport University Cologne . At the end of May 2014, Lusin married his dance partner.

In 2018 he took part in the eleventh season of the RTL dance show Let's Dance . His dance partner was Charlotte Würdig . The following year he danced with Ella Endlich , in 2020 with Ulrike von der Groeben .
