Tim Toupet (born October 28, 1971 in Cologne ; real name: Tim Bibelhausen ) is a German master hairdresser and singer . He runs a salon called “Hair Concept” in Pulheim .

Life and music

The "singing hairdresser" became known - by its own name - with a number of party hits. He achieved a chart placement as a singer in August 2005 with the Ballermann song You have the hair beautiful , for which he wrote the lyrics himself. He stayed in the charts for four weeks and reached number 63. In March of the same year, Tim Toupet was a member of the sixth season of Big Brother for two weeks and left the house on March 18 at his own request.

The popularity of Toupets increased with the fourth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar , which was broadcast in 2006/2007. He did not stand up as a candidate himself, but an applicant named "Johanna" sang the chorus of the song You have the hair beautiful again and again in January 2007, despite the jury's apparent lack of interest . The appearance was made public by some media.

In 2008 Michaela Schaffrath sang his song Ich bin ein Döner in the jungle camp . Toupet took this as an opportunity to claim in an interview with Bild that he was Michaela Schaffrath's "secret lover" and that he has had a steady relationship with her since November 2007. On the next day, Schaffrath stated in the same place that the three-month relationship had already ended and insinuated that Toupet had exploited her popularity and wanted to advertise himself at her expense.

After a long break he released his single Ein Diamant on January 7, 2011 .

At the beginning of May 2013, Toupet was seen in Celebrity Wife Swap on RTL II .
