Judith Alexis Stecher-Williams (born September 18, 1971 in Munich - Perlach ) is a German- born American who is known as an entrepreneur , television presenter and opera singer .

Life

Judith Williams moved to Trier with her parents and her two sisters in the late 1970s . At the age of four she was on stage for the first time with her father, Basso profondo Daniel Lewis Williams . She later studied classical singing in Cologne with Kurt Moll , Brigitte Fassbaender and her father, as well as ballet at the Royal Academy of Music in London . As a soprano , Williams appeared in the 1990s as Maria in the West Side Story , as Bronislawa in The Begging Student and as Papagena in The Magic Flute at many houses in Europe. She was a regular guest at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Baden-Baden Philharmonic.

In the 1995/96 season she was a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Hagen . In 1998 she took second place in the International Coloratura Singing Competition initiated by Sylvia Geszty . In the mid-1990s, Williams was treated with hormones for a tumor that made her voice impaired. As a result, she was hired as a presenter at QVC in 1999 . Together with Walter Freiwald , she presented the Morning Show there . After a few stopovers, she landed on Germany's first teleshopping channel, HSE24 . From 2001 to 2009 she mainly accompanied Uschi Glas , Rudolph Moshammer , Udo Walz , René Koch and Ricarda M on their programs. In 2004 she received her own jewelry format at HSE24. In the program Jewelry for Generations , she and her mother presented jewelry in silver and gold. Since 2007 she has been selling her own cosmetics, fashion and jewelry lines at HSE24 with her company Judith Williams GmbH. Since summer 2009 she has also been represented with her cosmetics line at QVC in London . In March 2011 Williams opened a beauty institute in Munich .

At the moment she only occasionally sings concerts with her father. On May 8, 2001 she was nominated for the Raab of the week on Stefan Raab's show TV total . In 2013 she published an autobiography called Stumbling Stones Into Luck . Since 2014 she has been one of the investors in the VOX format Die Höhle der Löwen , where young entrepreneurs have the opportunity to receive capital for their business idea in exchange for company shares. Judith Williams has been an ambassador for the José Carreras Leukemia Foundation since 2017 . In 2018, Williams took second place in the 11th season of the RTL show Let's Dance .

At the celebrity special from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on November 22, 2018, Judith Williams answered the € 500,000 question incorrectly and consequently only earned € 500 for the RTL donation marathon. Since 2019 she has been moderating the ZDF program Mein Lied für dich .

Williams has been married to Alexander-Klaus Stecher since August 2011 . The couple have two daughters and two sons from Stecher's first marriage.
