Mas que nada
Mas que nada [ ˌmaʃkiˈnadɐ ] ( bras.-port. ) Is a song composed by Jorge Ben in 1963 , which was best known outside of Brazil through the version by Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '66 . Mendes and his group achieved their international breakthrough in 1966 and the start of a whole series of hits in the USA. Translated, the lyrics of the song mean something like “Oh, what's the point?”, Incorrectly stated in many playlists as “Mais que nada”, which means “more than nothing”.
The song is still regularly performed at concerts by Mendes and Jorge Ben Jor. In 2013 it was inducted into the Latin Grammy Hall of Fame.
