Faithless is a British music group whose music is described by one of the band members as a cross between trip-hop and dance and also has influences of trance . The three members of Faithless are Maxi Jazz , Sister Bliss and Rollo . Together with Jamie Catto you are also the founders of the group. Both on tour and on various albums , musicians such as Zoë Johnston , Dido , LSK (Leigh Stephen Kenny) etc. are represented with guest appearances. Well-known tracks are Insomnia , God is a DJ , Reverence , Salva Mea , We Come 1 and One Step Too Far (with Dido, Rollo's sister).

Faithless see themselves as a politically thinking band, very clearly in the single Mass Destruction (2004) - a radical anti-war song by the avowed Buddhist Maxi Jazz. They also appeared in the context of the worldwide Live 8 benefit concerts on July 2, 2005 in Berlin . Singer Maxi Jazz also appeared on July 6, 2005 at the Live 8 final concert The Final Push in Edinburgh together with 1 Giant Leap , Neneh Cherry , Will Young and The Mahotella Queens .

After a world tour that began in summer 2004 and ended in autumn 2005, the band wanted to take a break, according to an interview with TV broadcaster MTV . Previously, even the first was released in 2005 Live - DVD Faithless, entitled Live at Alexandra Palace , which in Alexandra Palace was taken. In 2006 the album To All New Arrivals was released . On May 17, 2010, the sixth studio album, The Dance , was released in Germany , of which Not Going Home was released as the first single on May 2.

On March 16, 2011, the band announced their breakup, which was celebrated with a final concert on April 8, 2011 in the Brixton O2 Arena. The final concert was shown live in cinemas around the world.

In December 2014 the band The Chemical Brothers published a flyer with the artists of the 2015 festival on the Facebook event page of the SonneMondSterne Festival. The flyer also named Faithless .

On February 10, 2015, the band announced a reunion and a tour in Europe, which ended on December 13 in Amsterdam.

On March 8, 2019, the German news channel n-tv published an interview with singer Dido, in which she announced a new Faithless album for 2019 with her participation. When interviewer Volker Probst pointed out that Faithless had actually announced their breakup, Dido laughingly answered with the sentence "Oh, you keep saying things like that."
