Rollo Armstrong

Rowland Constantine O'Malley Armstrong , also Roland Armstrong (* 1966 in London ) is a British music producer and is considered the mastermind of Faithless . He is the brother and at times also the producer of Dido , who is also successful in the music business.

Life

In 1992 the hit Don't You Want Me by Felix was released , the project of the American Francis Wright, in which Rollo was significantly involved as a remixer. With this production he also drew the attention of other musicians to himself as a producer and author. Work followed for the Pet Shop Boys and the USURA dance project, among others

In the early 1990s he founded the record label Cheeky Records in London , which was taken over by BMG Europe and now belongs to Sony BMG . Despite this takeover, he retained control of his label. The label's most successful releases include the hit Insomnia and Faithless' albums. Dido also released on Cheeky Records.

Rollo produced many well-known musicians, such as Faithless , Simply Red , Gabrielle , Pet Shop Boys , M People and Donna Summer . He also took over the mastering of the two successful albums ( No Angel , Life for Rent ) by his sister Dido .

In addition to Faithless , Rollo Armstrong has a second project called Dusted .

Armstrong composed the official music ( acoustic brand ) for the UEFA EURO 2008 .
