Oana Nechiti

Oana Andreea Nechiti (born February 23, 1988 in Timișoara ) is a Romanian dancer and choreographer in the fields of standard and Latin American dances . She became known as a professional dancer in the dance show Let's Dance .

Life

youth

Nechiti grew up as the second daughter of a police officer and a secretary in Timișoara . She lived in Romania until 2011. Here she had been part of the national team since she was fourteen and reached the finals of the national championships in Latin dances every year. In 2003, 2007 and 2008 Nechiti represented Romania at the World Championships . From 2004 to 2008 she attended the drama and choreography school in Timișoara. She then began studying medicine, which she broke off in favor of her career as a choreographer, trainer and dancer.

Career

In February 2010 she started a dance career together with her partner Erich Klann , whom she had met the year before during a professional project. The couple reached third place in the state championship of North Rhine-Westphalia and fourth place in the World Trophy in the Netherlands in 2010. In August 2011 Nechiti left Romania and moved with Klann to Paderborn , where they both run a dance school. In addition, Klann and Nechiti are dance teachers in three dance sports clubs in Kassel , Warburg and Paderborn. In 2012 their son was born. 2019 and 2020 she was a jury member of Germany Idol worked .

Let's dance

Nechiti became known to a wider audience in 2013 as a dance partner of Jürgen Milski in the sixth season of the dance show Let's Dance . The couple reached number six. In the two-part "Christmas Special" in the same year, Nechiti danced with the actor Manuel Cortez . In 2014 she was assigned the ex-freestyle wrestler Alexander Leipold as a dance partner. The couple were eliminated after the fifth round. In 2015, her dance partner was the actor Ralf Bauer , who left the show after the seventh episode for health reasons. In 2016 Nechiti danced with actor Eric Stehfest in fourth place. In 2017 she reached fifth place with comedian Faisal Kawusi . In 2018 her dance partner was Bela Klentze , who was unable to continue training after the eighth episode due to an injury.
