Kristina Bach (real name: Kerstin Bräuer , born April 7, 1962 in Mettmann ) is a German pop singer , composer , lyricist and music producer .

Life

After finishing school, Bach completed a singing and dance training , and she also learned the piano and guitar . She also took acting lessons . After that she was a presenter of various television productions.

Musical career

Bach was discovered as a singer in the early 1980s, recorded her first single Donna Maria in 1983 and had her first success in 1984 with the revival of the old hit song from the 1960s Hot Sand (then sung by Mina ). In the late 1980s, more hits and appearances on radio and television followed. The big breakthrough came in 1990 with the title First a Cappuccino . Among other things, she won the German Schlager Parade six times in a row . In 1993 she was in the US Billboard Dance Charts with a dance version of the musical The Phantom of the Opera , with which she stayed in the top 20 for several weeks. In 1997 she sang the title Don't give up together with Drafi Deutscher .

At the beginning of the 1990s, Bach discovered the singer Michelle and referred her to the producer Jean Frankfurter . In 1994 Bach applied with the title Matador at the German Schlager Festival and reached 5th place. As a copywriter, she received the Silver Muse for 2nd place at the same event, which Michelle achieved with the title Silver Moon and Star Fire . She later produced her own pieces and also helped Michelle make a comeback as a producer and songwriter. As a lyricist and composer, she works for Helene Fischer (2013 with the No. 1 song Atemlos durch die Nacht , produced by Jean Frankfurter) and her new discovery of cappuccinos , which can also be found in her management. From 2010 to 2012 she was also the producer of the DSDS participant Annemarie Eilfeld , who released an album in 2011 from which a single was extracted. Since the album did not reach any chart placement, the contract was terminated prematurely.

Bach is the patron of the German Allergy and Asthma Association . She herself has been an asthmatic since childhood. She is also an ambassador for the José Carreras Leukemia Foundation and an ambassador for World Vision Germany .
