The Puppini Sisters are a singing trio founded in 2004. The group was founded by Marcella Puppini, who was inspired by the Franco-Belgian-Canadian animated film The Great Race of Belleville .

history

Marcella Puppini, Kate Mullins and Stephanie O'Brien met while studying at Trinity College of Music in London . After studying jazz singing and performing together and singing in the jazz choir, Marcella Puppini left college and called Kate Mullins to find a group that would sing the Andrews Sisters for fun . As the third member, Stephanie O'Brien finally completed Puppini Sisters.

The Puppini Sisters' debut single Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy is a cover version of a hit by the Andrews Sisters.

In June 2012 the group announced that Stephanie O'Brien would leave the trio and take her place Terrianne Passingham.

In November 2012, Terianne Passingham left the Puppini Sisters and Emma Smith took her place as the group's soprano.

style

The style of the three singers from London is inspired by the music and fashion of the forties of the twentieth century. The trio is accompanied by a three-piece band consisting of Martin Kolarides on guitar, Henry Tyler on drums and Nick Pini on bass.
