Nastassja Kinski
Nastassja Kinski (* 24. January 1961 as Nastassja Aglaia Nakszynski in West Berlin ) is a German actress who had her greatest success in the late 1970s and 1980s. She shot in Germany, France and Hollywood with directors such as Wim Wenders , Wolfgang Petersen , Roman Polański and Francis Ford Coppola . At times she was one of the most photographed women in the world and graced numerous covers. In some of the film credits she appears under the names Anastasiya Kinski, Nastassia Kinski or Nastasha Kinski.

In 1960 the German actor and reciter Klaus Kinski married twenty-year-old Ruth Brigitte Tocki in West Berlin. Nastassja Kinski was the only child from this marriage. Due to the different locations of her father, she grew up alternately in Berlin, Munich and Rome. After her parents separated in 1968, she left Italy with her mother and lived in Munich until 1971, then for a short time in Caracas and again in Munich from 1972 - this time together with her mother in a commune . In 1977 she left the Willi-Graf-Gymnasium in Munich with the secondary school leaving certificate . Her half-siblings Pola Kinski (from her father's first marriage) and Nikolai Kinski (from her third marriage) and her cousin Lara Naszinsky are also actors.
Career
Lisa Kreuzer , an actress in the New German Cinema of the 1970s, discovered Kinski's acting talent and gave the thirteen-year-old the role of mute Mignon in Wim Wenders ' film Wrong Movement in 1974 . In 1977 she became known for her role in the Tatort episode Reifezeugnis filmed by Wolfgang Petersen . In the same year she received acting lessons from Lee Strasberg in New York . Photos, which the director Roman Polański also took of her in 1977 for the French fashion magazine Vogue , aroused interest in the international film world.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Kinski was one of the most sought-after young actresses. Polański directed her first major film role Tess in 1979 , for which she received a Golden Globe as best young actress . At the time, the star had the headline “Nastassja Kinski - our world star in Hollywood” and featured it on the cover, photographed by Richard Avedon . More films followed in Hollywood; u. a. turned it in 1982 with director Francis Ford Coppola One from the Heart (One from the Heart) of bad arrived with critics and audiences. In 1982 she took on the leading role in Paul Schrader's erotic horror thriller Cat People . In 1984 she directed the award-winning film Paris, Texas with Wim Wenders . Her career plummeted in the mid-1980s, especially after the failure of the lavishly staged period film Revolution , in which she played alongside Al Pacino in 1985 .
Since 2011, Nastassja Kinski has been a member of the US film academy AMPAS , which is known for awarding the Oscar film prize . In 2016 she took part in the 9th season of the dance show Let's Dance . Together with her dance partner Christian Polanc , she dropped out after the seventh round. In September 2017 she was on the game show Who knows something? to see with Kai Pflaume .
Private life
In 1984 Kinski married the producer Ibrahim Moussa (1946–2012); in the same year a son was born. 1986 daughter Sonja Kinski was born, who is also a model and actress. The marriage ended in divorce in 1992. From 1991 to 1997 she lived with the composer Quincy Jones , from this relationship comes her daughter Kenya Kinski-Jones (* 1993), who also works as a model. In 2016, Kinsky was in a relationship with the dancer Ilia Russo .
