Lady Musketeer - All for One (La Femme Musketeer) is an American - German - Croatian adventure film from 2004 . Directed by Steve Boyum , the screenplay was written by Sandra Weintraub .
action
The fictional action takes place in France in 1660. The country is at war with Spain. Valentine D'Artagnan wants to become a royal musketeer just like her retired father . Your application is rejected. At the French court, Cardinal Mazarin and Louis XIV waged a power struggle, during which Mazarin's niece and mistress of King Marie Mancini found a conspiratorial letter and wanted to deliver it to the musketeers, but was stabbed from behind by Lady Bolton, accompanied by Mazarin's bodyguard.
The king wants to marry a Spanish princess, which some courtiers try to prevent by kidnapping the princess. Valentine, who witnessed Marie's killing at the royal musketeers' training camp, is drawn into the intrigue when she is pursued by Mazarin's bodyguards and escapes with the letter. Their escape leads to the dungeon, in which the princess is also held captive. Meanwhile, the musketeers' sons and their fathers have come to the castle in pursuit of the kidnapped princess, fight down Mazarin's bodyguards and free the princess and Valentine so that the king can marry the Spanish princess and make peace with Spain.
Some historical facts
Several points of this action have nothing to do with real historical facts, but are purely fictional. This is particularly true of the death of Marie Mancini , who was actually sent back from Mazarin to Rome to marry a Prince Colonna there. She lived for many years as one of the leading women in Roman society. Of course, the story of the kidnapping of the Spanish Infanta Maria Teresa is also fictitious.
