Reviews

James Berardinelli described on ReelViews seeing the film as a "loss of time" and the comedy as one of the most disappointing films of 1997. He wondered how it would be possible if so many "talents" like Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Ivan Reitman and Joel Silver were involved and strongly criticized the script.

Roger Ebert described the comedy in the Chicago Sun-Times on May 9, 1997 as "brainless" ("brainless").

“Remake of the French comedy" Zwei insane jesters "(1983), which is tailored to the two star comedians Williams and Crystal. A comedy that is imaginative and funny only in a few moments, and over long stretches of it tenacious. "
