Sugar Ray is an American pop rock band that was formed in California in 1992 .

Band history

The group landed a deal with Atlantic Records , where all albums have been released to date. The band's debut album, Lemonade and Brownies , was released in 1995 and attracted particular attention for its cover, which featured actress Nicole Eggert nude. Sugar Ray went multiple platinum with the following two albums . With Every Morning they had an international radio hit and a top ten hit in the UK in 1999. Other chart hits were Someday , Falls Apart and When It's Over . After 2001, however, the success waned. Constantly falling sales of the follow-up albums meant that Sugar Ray was no longer given a contract from Atlantic in 2006.

In 2009 they successfully returned with a new label (Pulse Recordings) and a new album Music for Cougars .
