Career
youth
Tesche came to Löhne-Mennighüffen in North Rhine-Westphalia with his parents at the age of six . He started playing football at VfL Mennighüffen in 1993 . For the 2001/02 season, Tesche moved to Arminia Bielefeld's youth department . From the beginning of the 2006/07 season he was part of the second team.
professional
Under coach Ernst Middendorp , Tesche was appointed to the Arminia professional squad. He played his first Bundesliga game on March 30, 2007 against Borussia Dortmund , where he was in the starting line-up and was substituted in the 67th minute. In May 2007 he signed a professional contract for the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga that ran for three years. At the beginning of July 2009, this contract was terminated because Tesche wanted to switch to Hamburger SV .
On July 5, 2009, he signed a contract with HSV that ran until June 30, 2012. In the summer of 2011, he extended his contract term to 2014. After he had not been able to assert himself at Hamburger SV and only had around 85 minutes in the first half of the 2012/13 season , he was loaned to Fortuna Düsseldorf during the winter break until the end of the season.
After his return to HSV, Tesche was appointed to the second team by Thorsten Fink . Under Bert van Marwijk he returned to the team training of the professionals, but was not considered for the games of the first team. When the club changed coach for the second time in the season, Tesche was back on the bench under new coach Mirko Slomka in the game against Werder Bremen on March 1, 2014, but was not used. A week later, Tesche made his comeback in the HSV jersey due to 13 injured players in the professional squad. In the 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt he was substituted on for Tomás Rincón in the 62nd minute of the game . By the end of the season, Tesche had other assignments; occasionally also on the starting grid. His contract, which expired at the end of the season, was not extended and Tesche left the club.
In July 2014 he kept fit with his former club Arminia Bielefeld and signed a contract with the English second division club Nottingham Forest in August 2014 .
On March 2, 2015 he was awarded to league rivals Birmingham City until the end of the season. For the 2015/16 season Tesche returned to Nottingham Forest and played in 24 league games (one goal). Tesche returned to Birmingham City for the 2016/17 season.
On August 31, 2017, Tesche switched to the 2nd Bundesliga for VfL Bochum on loan until the end of the 2017/18 season . For the season 2018/19 Tesche finally left Birmingham City and joined the VfL Bochum, with whom he signed a contract until the 2020th
