Stelios Kokovas ( Greek Στέλιος Κόκοβας ; born July 6, 2001 in Larisa ) is a Greek football player who plays as a central defender for the German club VfL Bochum .

Career

societies

On July 1, 2017, Kokovas moved from his home club Anagennisi Kalochoriou to the VfL Bochum U17 team . In his first season he was a regular in the B-Junior Bundesliga . In the 2018/19 season he makes his debut for the professional team on the 27th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga , March 30, 2019 against Hamburger SV , which finished the team 0-0 and became a regular player in the A- Junior Bundesliga . After being used in a total of six professional team games this season, he was no longer considered by the professionals in the 2019/20 season, but continued to play for the U19 team.

National team

Kokovas was called up to the Greek U18 national team in December 2018 and played in a friendly against Italy that ended in a 4-1 away defeat.
