Moritz Römling (born April 30, 2001 in Witten ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with VfL Bochum .

Career

Römling joined the youth team at VfL Bochum in 2014 after playing for the youth teams of FSV Witten and SV Herbede and has been part of the professional squad since March 2, 2019. He had previously made his debut in the second-highest German division on February 23 on the 23rd matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga against Holstein Kiel , which was followed by two more appearances in this season . This made him the first player born in 2001 to be used in the 2nd Bundesliga. He is a trained striker , but is increasingly being used in the left full-back position at VfL Bochum .

National team

On November 15, 2018, Römling, under coach Frank Kramer , played for the first time for Germany's U-18 national team in the game against Cyprus . Since then he has been appointed regularly and has a total of four assignments.
