Vitaly Janelt (born May 10, 1998 in Hamburg ) is a German soccer player who has been playing for the second division VfL Bochum since January 2017 and is a young German national player.
Career
society
Janelt played in youth for Bargfelder SV, SSC Hagen Ahrensburg and Hamburger SV before joining the youth department of RB Leipzig in 2014 . In the 2016/17 season he played for the regional league team of Saxony .
During the winter break of that season he switched to VfL Bochum on loan and played seven games there in the second half of the season . He had his first game in professional football on April 1, 2017 at SV Sandhausen . The match ended goalless. In the 2017/18 season , he was used in 13 second division games. For the 2018/19 season , VfL Bochum acquired the transfer rights to Janelt and provided him with a contract that runs until June 30, 2021. In January 2020, Janelt replaced the regular goalkeeper Manuel Riemann during the game against Arminia Bielefeld after he was sent off after a yellow-red card, as the exchange contingent had already been exhausted. Janelt conceded the 0-2.
