Saulo Igor Decarli (born February 4, 1992 in Locarno ) is a Swiss football player with Italian roots. The central defender is under contract with VfL Bochum .
Career
society
Saulo Decarli started his career at Losone Sportiva in 1999 . From 2005 to 2007 he played for FC Locarno for two years before moving to AC Bellinzona . After a year at FC Lugano , he returned to Bellinzona and from there moved again to FC Locarno in 2010, where he played his first Super League games . After a year at FC Chiasso , Decarli went to AS Livorno . In the second half of the 2013/14 season he became the AS Avellino in the Serie B awarded.
For the 2014/15 season Decarli moved to the German second division club Eintracht Braunschweig , with whom he signed a five-year contract. On September 13, 2014, he made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga in a 3-1 defeat at RB Leipzig . In November 2014 he helped out in two games for the second team in the Regionalliga Nord . At the. On February 20, 2016, Decarli scored his first goal in the 2nd Bundesliga in a 2-2 draw against Karlsruher SC . On August 28, 2016, he scored two goals in one game for the first time in his career in a 6-1 home win against 1. FC Nürnberg .
In August 2017 Decarli moved to Belgium for Club Bruges . He received a contract there until 2020. In his first season he won the national championship title with the club.
The defender left Belgium in the summer of 2019 and returned to Germany, where VfL Bochum signed him and provided him with a contract valid until 2022.
National team
Decarli made his debut on September 7, 2010 in a 3-0 win against the Czech Republic for the Swiss U-19 national team . For the U-20 selection , he came on October 9, 2011 in the 1: 4 defeat against Germany for his first use. For the U-21 team , he played for the first time on February 6, 2013 in the 0-1 defeat against Slovakia .
