Maxim Leitsch (born May 18, 1998 in Essen ) is a German football player . The defender is under contract with the second division club VfL Bochum .

Career

societies

Leitsch began playing football in the youth of the Essen SG 99/06 . In 2007 he moved to the youth department of SG Wattenscheid 09 . In 2008 he switched to the youth department at VfL Bochum . There he moved up to the professional squad for the 2016/17 season . Leitsch made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga on December 10, 2016 in a 1-0 home win against TSV 1860 Munich . On the 34th and last day of the season, he came to his second second division against FC St. Pauli . He scored his first professional goal on matchday 30 of the 2019/20 season against St. Pauli, when he scored the 2-0 final score in the 73rd minute.

Leitsch played two games for the German U-18 team in 2015 . In 2016 there were two appearances for the U-19 team .
