Patrick Drewes (born February 4, 1993 in Delmenhorst ) is a German soccer player . The goalkeeper is under contract with the second division club VfL Bochum .

Career

Drewes began his career in 1995 at TuS Heidkrug and joined the youth team at VfL Wolfsburg in 2008 . There he moved up to the pros as the third goalkeeper for the 2012/13 season . At the same time he played for the second team of the wolves to gain experience in the Regionalliga Nord . In the 2013/14 season he won the championship with the second team, but failed with her in the promotion games to the 3rd division at SG Sonnenhof Großaspach . In the 2014/15 season he was part of the squad that brought the DFB Cup to Wolfsburg.

At the beginning of the 2015/16 season , Drewes was awarded for one year to the Swiss second division club FC Wil . On July 18, 2015, he made his debut in a 2-1 away win at FC Winterthur in the Challenge League. In total, he came to 32 league appearances in the season. For the 2016/17 season , Drewes was awarded to the third division team Preußen Münster , for which he was used three times. He played the 2017/18 season on loan with the Würzburger Kickers , which then signed him. In the following season , his last in Würzburg, he went as a regular goalkeeper, but only played 19 games due to injury.

For the 2019/20 season , the second division VfL Bochum signed him as a replacement for the former second keeper Felix Dornebusch .
