Felix Dornebusch (born July 12, 1994 in Witten ) is a German soccer goalkeeper . He is under contract with Eintracht Braunschweig .

Career

Dornebusch began his football career in Bochum with the DJK Teutonia Ehrenfeld in 1913 and then moved to SG Wattenscheid 09 . Shortly before his twelfth birthday, he joined the youth team at FC Schalke 04 . In 2011, Dornebusch moved from the U17 team there to the VfL Bochum U19 team . There he signed a professional contract in August 2013. During the season, however, he was one of five goalkeepers in the professional squad and was only used in the second team in Bochum. The following seasons were the same when he was the third goalkeeper in the professional squad. For the 2017/18 season he became the second goalkeeper behind Manuel Riemann . When this failed with a torn muscle fiber, Dornebusch made his professional debut on September 10, 2017, the 5th match day, in a 2-1 away win against SV Darmstadt 98 . Until Riemann was cured, Dornebusch came on two more missions. Due to another injury to Riemann, Dornebusch was used again between the 15th and 20th matchday. His contract, which expired at the end of the second division 2018/19 season , was not renewed in spring 2019.

On November 18, 2019, Dornebusch received a contract with the second division club 1. FC Nürnberg until the end of the 2019/20 season . The club reacted to the failure of its first four goalkeepers in the goalkeeper hierarchy. Immediately after his engagement, Dornebusch moved into goal for five league games instead of Benedikt Willert , then suffered an elbow injury on matchday 19 and was replaced by the recovered regular goalkeeper Christian Mathenia . There were two more league games for the club as well as relegation via relegation, in which Dornebusch, however, only sat on the bench.

After his contract expired, the Wittener was available for a free transfer and quickly found a new club in the second division Eintracht Braunschweig , to whom he tied until June 2022.
