Marcel Engelhardt (born April 5, 1993 in Greven ) is a German football goalkeeper . He has been under contract with Eintracht Braunschweig since 2013 .

Career

Born in Münster, he began playing football at TSV Ratekau in East Holstein . Via the youth teams of VfB Lübeck and Hamburger SV , he came to the first team of Lübeck in the Regionalliga Nord . After eleven appearances at league rivals TSV Havelse , Engelhardt moved again within the league in the summer of 2013, this time to the second team of Eintracht Braunschweig .

He has also been in Braunschweig's professional squad since 2015, making his professional debut after substituting for the injured Jasmin Fejzić in the second division game on October 21, 2017 against VfL Bochum , which was won 1-0. After Fejzić's move to 1. FC Magdeburg , Engelhardt was the goalkeeper in the third division season 2018/19 and extended his contract until June 30, 2020. In October, the club reacted to the unsuccessful team that had been on a matchday 3 Relegation place was and had to accept most goals, and signed the clubless Lukas Kruse , who pushed Engelhardt from his regular place.
