Niko Kijewski (born March 28, 1996 in Osnabrück ) is a German football player . The defender is under contract with Eintracht Braunschweig .

Career

society

Kijewski moved from VfL Osnabrück to Eintracht Braunschweig's A-youth team in 2014 . For the 2015/16 season he was promoted to the first team's training squad.

On April 1, 2016, he made his debut in a 2-1 win against SC Paderborn 07 in the 2nd Bundesliga .

With Eintracht he finished third at the end of the second division season 2016/17 , but in the relegation games to the Bundesliga, they were defeated by VfL Wolfsburg . In the following season 2017/18 he was relegated with Braunschweig from the 2nd Bundesliga to the 3rd division .

After two years, Kijewski celebrated promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with Eintracht Braunschweig in 2020 .

National team

Kijewski played for several German youth national teams. In July 2015 he was nominated for the U-19 European Championship in Greece by U-19 national coach Marcus Sorg .
