Yannik Bangsow (born February 21, 1998 in Berlin ) is a German soccer goalkeeper who is under contract with Eintracht Braunschweig .
Career
Bangsow began playing soccer in the Berlin area at Seeburger SV and in his hometown at SC Staaken and Tennis Borussia . He was a member of the selection teams of the Berlin Football Association. He then played for a year in the U17 at RB Leipzig and then moved to Eintracht Braunschweig . With the U17 of RB Leipzig he won the B-Junior championship of the Bundesliga North / East and the national cup.
Bangsow was the first goalkeeper for the Eintracht Braunschweig team in the A-Juniors Bundesliga 2016/17 and was therefore able to recommend himself for his first three appearances in the second men's team in the Regionalliga Nord . In addition, he won the DFB Junior Club Cup with the U19 team .
He was a permanent member of the U23 in the 2017/18 regional league season and played 28 of 34 possible games. He was also a member of the Eintracht professional squad. A brutal foul in a game of Regionalliga Nord then forced Bangsow to take a break. Despite being in 14th place in the 2017/18 season, which would have been enough to stay in the league , Braunschweig II had to be relegated to the Lower Saxony upper league in the spring of 2018 due to the professional's second division .
Parallel to the league game operations, Bangsow was integrated into the professional squad as a substitute for Marcel Engelhardt . After the U23 was outsourced from the youth performance center, Bangsow was then firmly in the squad of the first team and received a professional contract valid until 2021 in advance. On the 15th match day of the third division 2019/20 season, Bangsow was able to make his professional debut as a replacement for the injured goalkeeper Jasmin Fejzić .
