Simon Zoller (born June 26, 1991 in Friedrichshafen ) is a German football player . He has been under contract with VfL Bochum since January 2019 .

Career

Zoller played in his youth at TSV Fischbach, VfB Friedrichshafen , VfB Stuttgart , SSV Ulm 1846 and Karlsruher SC . In Ulm, he scored 36 goals in 25 games in the 2007/08 season and was promoted to the A-Junior Bundesliga with his team. He made his Karlsruhe debut in the second division on November 8, 2010 (11th matchday) against VfL Osnabrück .

For the 2012/13 season , Zoller moved to third division club VfL Osnabrück , where he signed a two-year contract. A year later he moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern, where he received a four-year contract.

For the 2014/15 season , Zoller switched to Bundesliga promoted 1. FC Köln , with whom he signed a contract until June 30, 2018. His first Bundesliga appearance was against VfB Stuttgart on matchday two . He scored his first Bundesliga goal in the home game against Borussia Dortmund , when he scored the 2-1 final score.

On January 29, 2015, he was loaned to 1. FC Kaiserslautern until the end of the season.

During the winter break of the 2018/19 season, Zoller switched to league competitor VfL Bochum , with whom he signed a contract until summer 2022.
