International Actors is a German acting agency that arranges actors of all foreign origins living in Germany for German productions. It was founded in September 1998 as Foreign Faces by the actor Tayfun Bademsoy in Berlin .

background

In the 1990s it became increasingly common for non-German actors to be sought in films for certain portrayals of foreigners. International Actors made it easier to fill such roles appropriately.

Another goal was to strengthen the lobby for foreign actors. You should be encouraged not only to accept roles without being contradicted, but also to make suggestions to the directors for a more realistic development of roles. This should counteract the stereotypes of the life of the respective group of foreigners and contribute to a more realistic representation of foreigners.

After it was founded with only 40 actors, mainly of Turkish origin, the agency's card index grew to over 220 actors from 52 nations within a year.

The agency has been run by Rudolf Oshege as the International Actors agency since 2003 and represents German and international actors for film, television, theater, radio and dubbing work at home and abroad, but also for advertising , radio plays and moderation .

Well-known customers include Susanna Capurso , Zejhun Demirov , Jan Oliver Schroeder , Irshad Panjatan , Lilay Huser , Mohammad-Ali Behboudi , Orhan Güner and Nikolaus Okonkwo .
