The Measure is Full is a TV film from the crime series Polizeiruf 110 . The film, produced on behalf of Bayerischer Rundfunk and directed by Klaus Krämer , was first broadcast on October 3, 2004. It is the 261st episode in the film series Polizeiruf 110 and the eleventh case for Chief Detective Jürgen Tauber . It is the eighth case for his colleague Chief Inspector Jo Obermaier .

action

A serial killer is targeting middle-aged women who work as waitresses in dirndls and lift beer mugs in beer gardens . Commissioner Jürgen Tauber is initially investigating alone, as his colleague Jo Obermaier has just gone on vacation. Since there could well be more murders, a special commission is formed. The first saliva tests of the employees of the beer garden, which are compared with the DNA traces from the crime scene, come to nothing. Extending this to the guests could scare off the perpetrator and make the search more difficult. Tauber plans to take his colleague out of vacation and use it as a decoy.

After the perpetrator strikes again, the Kriminalrat agrees to turn Tauber's proposal into reality. However, he has to convince Jo Obermaier of the risky venture. She has concerns, after all, Tauber hadn't even made it that Obermaier's plants had survived their absence, how should she feel safe now. Nevertheless, in the end she agrees and applies in one of the beer gardens in which the previous victims had already served. The police rented her an apartment nearby and equipped it with video surveillance. Officials are assigned to observe and are well camouflaged. Everything is running optimally and to identify suspicious beer garden visitors, names, fingerprints and DNA traces are secured as part of general traffic and alcohol controls.

Obermaier does not find the exhausting work as a waitress easy. In order not to endanger her mission, none of the beer garden staff knows who she really is. Therefore, she pricks up when Andreas, the landlady's son, very noticeably tries to contact her. After a thunderstorm, he brings her home and accompanies her to the apartment. Access takes place there after a short time. The review of Andreas Säbener is negative and he is released again. In return, the traffic control had brought success and a match of the DNA comparison, which leads to Ludwig Ziegelmaier. However, he is not found in his apartment. Tauber and his colleagues try desperately to find him, but ignore Obermaier's surveillance. In this way, the wanted person can get to Obermaier's apartment unnoticed. He gains entry under the pretext of being from the criminal police and since Obermaier knows who he really is, she reacts calmly. Of course, she also hopes that access will take place at any moment, but Ziegelmaier pulls a pistol and threatens the detective before she can reach for her hidden weapon. However, she realizes that he is using a blank gun and comes out as a police officer. Then Ziegelmaier runs out of the apartment with the pistol in his hand and runs towards the arriving police officers, who shoot him in view of his gun drawn.

criticism

“Director Klaus Krämer has repeatedly woven in moments of tension, which he underlines with musical accents. He completely dispenses with action, which gives the film breathless tension at times. The fear that haunts Jo Obermaier is almost palpable, every noise, every shadow becomes a danger. The tension is increased by the fact that the murderer becomes aware of Obermaier at some point and the camera takes over his observing gaze. The viewer feels the fear of the chosen victim and suspects that the perpetrator is enjoying it. "

- Silke Böttcher : Berliner Morgenpost

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best rating (thumbs up) and wrote: "We're increasing the tip for this crime thriller!"
