characters
Jürgen Tauber
Chief Detective Jürgen Tauber, played by Edgar Selge, initially investigated four cases on the side of Silvia Jansen ( Gaby Dohm ). From 2001 to 2009 he formed an investigator duo with Jo Obermaier (Michaela May). He takes a determined approach to his investigation. Tauber thinks particularly about the psyche of an offender. Despite his missing arm, he is accepted by his colleagues, but later bullied because of his homosexuality , which in the end leads to his voluntary resignation.
Jo Obermaier
Chief Inspector Jo “Josephine” Obermaier, played by Michaela May, presents herself as a self-confident woman who is attached to her home country. For them, calm is important during investigative work, because their motto is: "There is strength in calm". Despite some differences of opinion, she gets along well with her disabled colleague Tauber.

criticism
The two figures were mainly assessed as an asset to Police Call 110, which had not yet been "used up" by Edgar Selge's early departure. However, there were different criticisms of the individual cases - often with reference to the script.
On the occasion of the last episode, Endspiel , Der Tagesspiegel praised how diverse and comprehensively social and societal grievances were addressed in Germany and drew the conclusion:
“The 'police call' with Tauber and Obermaier, that was always the subtle, careful and precise look at what was behind the people. It may well be said: To the abyss of the human soul. Completely unpretentious. "
The Frankfurter Rundschau pointed out the importance of Tauber's disability for the investigative duo:
“Because the best crime scene is the Munich police call. Was the Munich police call. That was due to Edgar Selge, who stayed for eleven years before he didn't want to anymore, but it was also due to the ingenious figure of the one-armed investigator Tauber. [...] Tauber's disability was always one hundred percent present. [...] But Tauber's arm was seldom played. Interestingly enough, the consequences were often weaker. "
