Police Commissioner Elisabeth Eyckhoff is a fictional person from the ARD crime series Polizeiruf 110 , played by Verena Altenberger . She has been investigating since 2019.

Police Chief Commissioner (POK) Elisabeth Eyckhoff, known as "Bessie", is investigating in and around Munich . She is supported by Police Commissioner (PK) Wolfgang Maurer - portrayed by Andreas Bittl - who, however , dies in the second episode The Lie We Call the Future . In the first episode, The Place from which the Clouds Come , she also receives help from her maternal half-brother, Cem Halac. According to her own statements, she was originally a "jumper"; H. a policewoman who is deployed in various police departments due to the lack of staff. With her half-brother Cem, she shares a common childhood with her bustling mother, who did not care much about her. Elisabeth Eyckhoff says she has a good relationship with her father. She tries to support her half brother financially as much as possible because of his possible alcohol problems. This results in her being financially ill-positioned, which has unexpected repercussions on her second case. The commissioner comes from Austria and was a national champion in artistic gymnastics in her youth. She maintains a friendly relationship with some of her colleagues, including Police Commissioner (PK) Wolfgang Maurer. This is how she spends her free time and a. with going out to party with them and insisting on singing and dancing in front of an audience. With her temporary colleague Lukas Posse - portrayed by Wolf Danny Homann - from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) , she had a casual, short relationship, which, however, came to a bitter end.

Matthias Brandt as Hanns von Meuffels declared in January 2017 that he would like to get out of the Polizeiruf 110 format . In August 2018 it was announced that Altenberger would replace him as an investigator for Bayerischer Rundfunk and that he would take over the role of Elisabeth Eyckhoff from 2019.
