Kriminaloberkommissar Kurt Groth is a fictional character from the ARD crime series Polizeiruf 110 , which was played by Kurt Böwe .

Kurt Groth investigated together with Jens Hinrichs , embodied by Uwe Steimle , in Schwerin and the surrounding area.

Böwe and Steimle formed the NDR's first police call team and investigated a total of 14 cases from 1994 to the death of Kurt Böwe in 2000.

The power and its price was originally supposed to be the last case for Kurt Groth. However, due to Kurt Böwe's poor health, the shooting was initially postponed. After Böwe's death, Jürgen Schmidt took up his post prematurely as Robert Dieckmann (later: Holm Diekmann); at that time he was already established as his successor.

In the film Seascape with Girls , you learn that Kurt Groth has also died; Hinrichs visits his grave.

Kurt Groth was an investigator for the People's Police for 30 years during the GDR era and was retired after the fall of the Wall . Due to a shortage of personnel, however, he is led by Chief Detective Dr. Stuber ( HH Müller ) reactivated and put the newcomer Jens Hinrichs, who now holds Groth's old position, at the side.

Groth, who is regarded as the veteran of the authority, investigates like in old times with understanding and legwork; his new boss Hinrichs, on the other hand, relies on new investigation methods and computer technology. Both don't get along very well at first; Over time, however, they get used to each other and Groth ultimately gives the impetus for the marriage between Hinrichs and Nina ( Julia Richter ).

Groth's trademark is a Dederon bag from GDR times, which he always carries with him. When Hinrichs gave him a new bag, he carefully stowed it in his old bag. After his death, the bag hung on the wall in Hinrich's office.

Groth has a granddaughter ( Gabriele Völsch ) who visits him frequently and also meets several times with Eva Storm ( Marie Anne Fliegel ) from forensics for dinner.

In the film Über Gang , Groth is addressed differently from the other films by the first name Karl .

Some actors appear in several films in different roles: You see Karl Kranzkowski in Bullerjahn , Taxi to the Bank , Dangerous Kisses , The Stranger , Live in Death and Katz und Kater . Yasmina Djaballah starred in various leading roles in Über Gang and Taxi zur Bank within a month . Armin Rohde can be seen in Live in den Tod und Katz und Kater and played again in Rasputin . His younger brother Uwe can also be seen several times.
