Yasmina Djaballah

Yasmina Djaballah (Yasmina Ahcene-Djaballah, born April 2, 1971 in Oran , Algeria ) is a German actress .

Life

Djaballah graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts from 1992 to 1996 and then worked at the Schauspielhaus Zurich until 1998 . She then played theater roles in Vienna (1998–1999) and Berlin (2000–2003). In the period 2014-2015 Djaballah was seen at the Landestheater Schleswig-Holstein as a guest in a production of Arthur Schnitzler's stage drama Reigen .

Yasmina Djaballah appeared in the 1996 films Der Kokler , Skin and Hair and Beyond Sweden and Ostseebad , published in 1997.

In television Djaballah has appeared in numerous roles including, inter alia in the thrillers Police 110 (1995), Balko (1996) and In the Name of the Law (2000) and 2001 the scene a murderous tales with by Miroslav Nemec and Udo Wachtveitl played Munich police detective Batic and Leitmayr in the role of Maria Santiago. In the French drama March Fever , published in 2003, she played the lead role alongside Ram Chand Chabbra. In the television series Hinter Gittern - Der Frauenknast she embodied the recurring role of Katja Marwitz from 2006–2007 and was seen in the 2008 ZDF history documentary Die Deutschen as Empress Maria Theresa .

From January to July 2009 the Mimin was in Ludwigsburg for the ARD early evening series One for all - women can do it better in one of the leading roles than Bärbel Dubois in front of the camera. In the eve of crime series murders in the north of the ARD she starred in the episode Behind the facade of the doctor Dr. Johanna Euler. Since February 2019 Djaballah has been cast in the first season of the previously 10-part television series The Plumber in the title role as police psychologist Mina Bäumer, who works for the Essen police. Bäumer sees herself as the craftsman of the human soul , hence the title.

The actress lives with her husband and two children in Schleswig-Holstein on the Schlei.
