Wolf Danny Homann (* 1990 in Bielefeld ) is a German actor .

Life

Wolf Danny Homann, who already excelled as an actor in elementary school, grew up with three siblings in Jöllenbeck and attended the Martin-Niemöller-Gesamtschule, where he was a member of the Theater-AG. He gained his first stage experience at the Bielefeld Theater .

He received his acting training at the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in Los Angeles and at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg , where he was able to prevail against 1,000 competitors. In the 2012/13 season he was a member of the “Junge Burg” ensemble at the Burgtheater Vienna , where he played Around the World in 80 Days (director: Annette Raffalt ). From 2013 he studied acting at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he had role lessons with Peter Lohmeyer , Max Simonischek and Ulrike Arnold . He also received lessons from Caroline Link at the Mozarteum . During his studies, Homann appeared at the Salzburg Festival in 2013/2014 , and at the Volkstheater Vienna in Der Marienthaler Dachs (2015, director: Volker Lösch ) and at the Salzburg State Theater (2015). Homann has been part of the ensemble of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus since 2016 . There he played u. a. the city governor of Potsdam, Heinrich von Geusau, in Michael Kohlhaas (2017, director: Matthias Hartmann) and the Hakenfinger-Jaob in Brecht / Weill's Die Dreigroschenoper (2017, director: Andreas Kriegenburg ).

Homann also stood in front of the camera for film and television productions. He acted in several short films. He worked for the cinema a. a. with Ben Verbong , Frederik Füssel and Philipp Kadelbach . In Matthias Hartmann's multimedia film project Die Räuber (2016), Homann played the character of the scooter, Karl Moors' loyal friend. In the independent film Frosch, Schenkel und Prinzen (2017), which shows a group of students who, as part of an ethnological experiment, have to survive on their own for two weeks, without electricity or gas, in a Germanic-Teutonic village, the male star played Main role of Ralf. In 2018 he was named “Best Actor” for his performance at the Mostra del Cinema di Taranto .

In the Cologne crime scene: On, on and on (first broadcast: January 2019), he played the drug-addicted petty criminal Pascal Pohl. In the 17th season of the ZDF television series SOKO Cologne (March 2019), Homann, alongside Stephan Bissmeier and Felix Everding , took on one of the leading roles in the episode as a young, moderately talented lawyer Hubertus Windmüller. In Police Call 110: The Lie We Call The Future (December 2019), he stood at the side of Verena Altenberger as an investigator of the stock exchange supervision in front of the camera. The two showed "one of the most unusual love scenes that could be seen on German TV". In the sixth season of the TV series In all Friendship - The Young Doctors , he took on one of the main roles in the episode as a busy young entrepreneur and husband of a patient who had already undergone numerous operations.

Homann was one of the founders of the “Die Filmstadt Baden ” association to promote young filmmakers and film actors.

Homann lives in Cologne near the main train station .
