Berlin-Kreuzberg in the early 1980s. Six problem students who are considered to be uneducable are waiting in their classroom for the arrival of a new teacher. But this does not appear. The resulting boredom creates aggressive behavior among the young people.

The film was based on the play "Class Enemy" by the English writer Nigel Williams from 1978 . Before the film was made, "Klassen Feind" had already been shown in the theater. The German premiere took place on April 23, 1981 at the Schaubühne am Halleschen Ufer in Berlin under the direction of Peter Stein.
