Tina Engel
Tina Engel (born April 6, 1950 in Hanover ) is a German actress and theater director .
biography
She attended the Hanover University of Music and Theater from 1967 to 1970 . She made her acting debut at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater in Rendsburg . Further stations in her stage career were the Bielefeld City Theater and the Theater am Neumarkt Zurich . From 1976 to 2000 she was a member of the Berlin Schaubühne ensemble . Since then she has been freelance and since 2001 she has also directed, among others in Stuttgart, Zurich, at the Berlin Renaissance Theater and at the Hamburg Ernst Deutsch Theater . Her German premiere of Flavia Costes' drama "No to Money" in the Renaissance Theater on March 30, 2019 received very good reviews.
At the Schaubühne she took on numerous roles, including Celia in As You Like It (1977), Emmi in Not Fish, Not Meat by Franz Xaver Kroetz (1981), Natascha in Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov (1987) and Irene Herms in Arthur Schnitzler's The Lonely Way (1991). At the Renaissance Theater in Berlin Tina Engel was from November 2010 in the play Blütenträume of Lutz Hübner as an actress on the stage.
Tina Engel acted in several films. For her performance in Margarethe von Trotta's The Second Awakening of Christa Klages , she received the gold film tape in 1978 . In Volker Schlöndorff's film adaptation of the novel The Tin Drum , she played Oskar Matzerath's grandmother, who hides an arsonist under her skirts and gets pregnant in the process. On television she can mainly be seen in crime series.
