Regine Ahrem
Regine Ahrem (* 1958 in Munich ) is a German radio play author , radio play director and dramaturge .
Life
Ahrem studied German and theater studies in Berlin and Munich. Since 1986 she has been working as an audio dramaturg at Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg (formerly SFB ). In this role she has produced numerous radio plays, some of which have received major national and international awards, including a. 2005 and 2006 the Prix Europa for “Im Krokodilsumpf” by David Z. Mairowitz and for “Amoklauf, mein Kinderspiel” by Thomas Freyer and in 2014 the Premios Ondas (Best International Radio Play) for “Cairo, February 11th” by Samir Nasr and Sonallah Ibrahim and in 2015 the ARD radio play award for “Das Projekt bin Ich” by Ulrike Müller .
Ahrem is also the author of over 30 radio plays of her own, mainly based on literary models. She also directs her own and other radio plays.
Since 2004 she has been teaching at various universities, including regularly in the scenic writing course at the Berlin University of the Arts . Since 2010 Ahrem has produced several live radio plays on various stages in Germany and Austria - since 2013 under the label Hollywood on Air , which she founded .
