Stefan Hilsbecher

Stefan Hilsbecher (* 1946 in Heiligenhafen ) is a German journalist and radio play director .

Life

Stefan Hilsbecher attended the Wöhlerschule in Frankfurt am Main from 1958 to 1967 . After studying communication sciences , pedagogy and sociology at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , he received his doctorate in 1981 with the thesis "On the influence of political TV magazine programs on adaptation and resistance as a variable in socio-political opinion formation" . He then trained as a journalist at the Munich press training institute. This was followed by further training as a radio play director at Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR) from 1983 to 1985 under the direction of Otto Düben . Hilsbecher worked here with well-known directors such as Heinz von Cramer , Raoul Wolfgang Schnell and Niels-Peter Rudolph .

From 1985 to 1993 Hilsbecher initially worked as a freelance director for the areas of feature, radio play, literature and radio essay at SDR.In 1993 he was given a permanent position as head of artistic production, which he retained even after the merger of SDR and Südwestfunk to form the new Südwestrundfunk . From 2001 to 2011 Hilsbecher was the first director in the cultural program of SWR2 . In addition, he teaches at the State University for Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart in the areas of drama and microphone speaking.
