Samir Nasr

Samir Nasr (born January 23, 1968 in Karlsruhe ) is a German-Egyptian director and author.

Life

After graduating from the German Evangelical High School in Cairo, Nasr went to Germany, where he studied business administration in Mannheim. He then worked as a projectionist. 1994–1999 he studied at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg (directing and screenwriting). In addition to his work as a director, author and cutter, he has had extensive teaching activities at various universities and institutes in Germany and abroad. a. from 2011 to 2014 visiting professor at the University of the Arts in Berlin in the scenic writing course.

Samir Nasr lives in Berlin and Cairo.
