Christine Nagel
Christine Nagel (* 1969 in Wertheim ) is a German radio play director and author .
Life
Christine Nagel studied history, politics and linguistics at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . She worked as an assistant director at the Stadttheater Gießen and Wiesbaden, and also worked as an assistant director in radio play productions for ARD . Freelance since 1994, first feature broadcasts started in 1996 , and since 2001 she has directed many radio plays. At the end of the 1990s, Nagel worked as a production and recording manager for feature-length documentaries. Between 2002 and 2005 she lived in London and completed postgraduate studies at the Laban Center there .
In 2001 Christine Nagel made a fictional short film based on Ilse Aichinger's story Fenster-Theater . The film Where I live was made through her acquaintance with the Austrian writer . A film for Ilse Aichinger , which premiered at the Graz Film Festival Diagonale and the Wiener Festwochen and was shown in art house cinemas from December 2014.
The radio play Walk tight tight! , a fictional dialogue between Elfriede Gerstl and Ruth Johanna Benrath , with music by Lauren Newton , was chosen as radio play of the year 2019 by the jury of the German Academy of Performing Arts .
Christine Nagel lives in Berlin.
