action

In the film, the attacks on Nick Neufeld are portrayed from a past perspective; the perpetrators have already been convicted at the beginning of the film, the leader has to do 120 hours of gardening:

Nick Neufeld is humiliated and tortured by his classmates; Sometimes these attacks happen in the middle of the lessons, others during the breaks. Initially, neither his parents nor the school management heard about it. Since nobody seems to have noticed the attacks on him, Nick takes all his courage and reports his tormentors to the police, which leads to the conviction of the perpetrators.

Beate Neufeld, Nick's mother, the punishments imposed on the perpetrators seem too mild. When her son is supposed to go back to his tormentors in his old class, she has no peace of mind. The peace in Nick's family is permanently disturbed, as his mother becomes enraged and attacks the teachers, neighbors and classmates, while his father belittles the attacks. The time after the conviction turns into an ordeal for the Neufeld family.

After the perpetrators are convicted, Nick is looked after by a psychologist, to whom he can only tell fragments of his experiences out of sheer shame. This therapy seems to be working; towards the end of the film, Nick goes on a cycling holiday with his parents. However, his former tormentors have apparently already chosen a new victim.
