Far Cry 4

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Far Cry 4 is an open world - first-person shooter and the fourth part of the Far Cry -Videospielreihe that the German game developer Crytek was founded. The game was released on November 18, 2014 for Windows , PlayStation 3 , PlayStation 4 , Xbox 360 and Xbox One . It was developed by various studios of the French group Ubisoft under the leadership of Ubisoft Montreal .

Far Cry 4 is set in the fictional Asian state of Kyrat. The player takes on the role of Ajay Ghale, who returns to his native Kyrat from the USA to scatter his mother's ashes. Once there, he is embroiled in a civil war in which the rebel group Golden Path fights against the oppression of King Pagan Min and his army.

The game principle was adopted by the developers from its predecessor. The focus is on fighting and exploring the game world. The game contains some elements that come from the role-playing genre, including the development of your own character. The main part of the game is taken by the single player campaign in which the player overthrows the king. In addition, the game offers a multiplayer mode in which players either explore Kyrat together or fight against each other in different types of competitions.

Far Cry 4 received a positive response from the trade press. Critics praised the player's great freedom of action, the abundance of game content, the quality of the graphics and the characters, especially the opponent Pagan Min. However, some testers criticized the developers' lack of innovation. , Buyers complained also that the publication version of the game, many bugs had. Nevertheless, Far Cry 4 had become the best-selling Far Cry title to date, with over seven million copies sold by the end of 2014 .

action

background

After its independence from the British Empire , the Himalayan state of Kyrat was ruled by a royal family. After the country became increasingly unstable due to economic problems, a group of nationalists formed to overthrow Kyrat's king. In the ensuing civil war between the nationalists and the supporters of the monarchy, the former succeeded in conquering the royal palace and murdering the royal family. The palace guard Mohan Ghale survived this attack and then united supporters of the king against the nationalists. He was supported by Pagan Min, a criminal from Hong Kong who fled to Kyrat while fleeing from bounty hunters. With the help of his mercenary army, he intervened on the side of the rebels in the war. As a result, the nationalists were pushed back and a member of the royal family whom Pagan brought into the country was crowned the new king. Thereupon Pagan betrayed the royalists, had the new king shot and proclaimed himself the new ruler of Kyrat. Shortly thereafter, Ghale organized the Golden Path rebel group to overthrow Pagan. However, they were inferior to Pagan's army and were largely wiped out. As the conflict progressed, Ghale was murdered in his own home, demoralizing the Golden Path. His wife then fled to the United States with their son Ajay.

Game plot

After his mother's death, Ajay Ghale travels back to his homeland, Kyrat, to scatter her ashes in a place called Lakshmana, according to her last wish. After Ajay arrives in Kyrat, he travels the countryside to locate Lakshmana. However, his search is interrupted by the royal army, which arrests him and brings him to Pagan's villa. He claims to have had a relationship with Ajay's mother and therefore asks Ajay to stay as a guest. When Pagan turns away from Ajay for a moment, Ajay tries to escape from the villa. With the help of the leader of the Golden Path, Sabal, he succeeds in this. They both flee to the headquarters of the Golden Path, where Ajay joins the rebels. Together they then conquer the city of Banapur, occupied by the royal army, which from then on serves as a new base for the rebels.

The Golden Path then seeks to destabilize Pagan's rule. To do this, the rebels carry out attacks on the territories controlled by Pagan's officers. These attacks lead to the victory of the Golden Path and the disempowerment of military leaders. The success of the rebel group is accompanied by growing disagreement within their leadership over the future of the country. The conservative Sabal wants to restore the Kyrat of the past and create a strictly religious state. Amita, on the other hand, wants to reform Kyrat and bring the country into the modern age. In some missions the player has to choose whether he follows the instructions of Amita or Sabal. The decision of the player influences which of the two receives the greater support in the Golden Path.

After Pagan's officers were defeated, tensions within the Golden Path grew to such an extent that Ajay had to decide who should lead the group from now on, either killing Amita or Sabal or forcing them to flee Kyrat. The survivor then becomes the sole leader of the Golden Path and decides with Ajay to eliminate Pagan. Arriving at his palace, Ajay tries to arrest Pagan while the remaining rebels fight the royal army. Ajay finds the king trying to escape from the complex. Here the player has the choice of killing Pagan or letting him escape. If he kills him, the game ends immediately. If he spares him, Pagan leads Ajay to Lakshmana. Contrary to what Ajay had assumed up to this point, Lakshmana is not a place name, but Ajay's deceased half-sister. Pagan explains that it comes from a relationship between him and Ajay's mother. Ajay's father killed Lakshmana when he found out about the affair and was in turn killed by his wife for it. Ajay places his mother next to Lakshmana and the game ends. Afterwards Pagan boarded a helicopter and flees Kyrat. Ajay can shoot down this helicopter in flight, killing Pagan.

There is an alternate storyline that can be used to complete the game in about 15 minutes. If Ajay does not flee from Pagan's villa at the beginning of the plot, but stays his guest, Pagan turns back to him after a while. He flies Ajay to Lakshmana's grave, where he places his mother's urn.

After Pagan's reign ends, the Golden Path takes control of Kyrat. When Amita leads the rebellion, she forcibly recruits children as soldiers for the Golden Path to fight the remnants of the royal army. She also has Bhadra eliminated, who is worshiped by many residents of Kyrat as Tarun Matara, the incarnation of a goddess, in order to secure her position of power. If Sabal leads the Golden Path, he appoints Bhadra as Tarun Matara and executes Amita's followers.

Gameplay

General

As with its predecessor, Far Cry 4 focuses on the single player campaign. In this it is the main goal of the player to support the rebel group Golden Path in their fight against King Pagan Min. It does this in two ways. As part of missions, the player carries out operations that are decisive for the war, such as the elimination of key figures in order to weaken the king. Outside of these missions, he can attack troops and government bases at any time in the freely explorable game world, which also pushes back the dictator's power.

Game world

Like its predecessor Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4 offers a largely open game world in which the player can move freely. This game environment, which bears the name Kyrat, represents a fictional region in the Himalayan mountains . It consists mainly of mountainous and wooded areas and is divided into two parts, of which only the southern part is initially accessible. The northern region will be unlocked as the campaign progresses.

At the beginning of the game, most of the game world is under the control of Pagan Min and his army. He secured military control over Kyrat through four fortresses and a few command posts that serve as bases for his army. By conquering these bases and advancing the campaign, Kyrat comes under increasing control of the Golden Path.

At command posts that the player has taken, he can supply himself with weapons and ammunition. He acquires the necessary funds as rewards for missions, by finding and selling booty. He can also travel through the play area between command posts that are under the control of the Golden Path using the fast travel function. There are vehicles, such as cars, pick-ups, quads or gyroscopes , which the player can take possession of at any time.

Aside from the campaign missions, the game world offers various assignments and subplots that essentially bring additional income to the player. As part of Kyrat Fashion Week , Ajay collects the skins of rare animals for a fashion designer. In addition to the payment, the player receives parts of the animal skins on these missions, which he can use to manufacture particularly high-quality equipment. Other jobs include getting supplies, escorting convoys, freeing hostages and disarming bombs. Far Cry 4 also contains a mini-game in the form of the Shanath Arena , in which the player competes against groups of opponents and wild animals in various game modes, similar to a Roman gladiatorial fight.

Parts of the storyline do not take place in Kyrat, but in the legendary world of Shangri-La . The player gets there by discovering references to Shangri-La, so-called thangkas , in Kyrat . There he takes on the role of Kalinag, a warrior who has to protect Shangri-La from the attacking Rakshasa , demons from Indian mythology. To do this, he completes five linear levels and finally defeats the leader of the invaders. The game mechanics are essentially the same as in Kyrat. However, the player also has a tiger available to which he can issue attack orders.

struggle

A khukuri

Battles begin when the player comes into contact with royal army troops or wild animals. If he approaches an enemy, an indicator is shown that indicates whether the enemy is about to discover the player.

For combat situations, the player can choose from numerous types of weapons, of which he can carry up to four depending on the capacity of his equipment. The weapons available are predominantly pistols , assault rifles and sniper rifles . In addition, rocket launchers , a flamethrower and bows are available to the player. In addition, the player can carry thrown weapons such as grenades , throwing knives and Molotov cocktails . In addition, he permanently carries a curved knife called a khukuri with him.

Far Cry 4 offers the player a variety of ways to master combat situations. In addition to the possibility of winning through superior firepower, the player also has more inconspicuous approaches. Using a camera or observation through a visor, the player can mark opponents, which from now on are displayed on the screen using symbols. If the opponent has not yet discovered the player, he can, provided he has come close enough to the opponent, execute a takedown , a special attack movement, through which the opponent is inconspicuously killed with the help of the khukuri. The game rewards this with additional experience points . In addition, the play figure can sneak up, sprint, jump, climb buildings in suitable places or climb rock walls using grappling hooks. In order to remain undetected by patrolling enemies even after an attack, for the first time in the Far Cry series , the player has the option of hiding the bodies of fallen enemies in suitable places.

Some weapons are available to the player right from the start, others are unlocked through progress in the campaign or through certain achievements in the game world.

game piece

Like its predecessor, Far Cry 4 contains a character system based on the role-playing game genre, in which the player can develop his character further by learning new skills. He unlocks new skills by collecting experience points by completing missions or by defeating opponents. Learning skills gives the player advantages in combat or in handling their equipment. The skills are divided into two groups known as the tiger and the elephant . The former group comprises improvements in the offensive, the latter improvements in the defensive skills of the character.

In addition, the player has a permanent inventory in the form of a loot rucksack in which he can keep collected plants or animal skins. Plants can be harvested from most locations and are used to make syringes. With injections the player can heal injuries or improve certain skills for a short time. Animal skins obtained through hunting in the wild are used to manufacture equipment such as larger weapon belts.

user interface

By default, the user interface shows a minimap, a display with the current number of health points , the number of healing syringes carried and an altimeter . On the mini-map, next to locations, missions and vehicles, marked opponents are shown with their line of sight, provided they are near the player. If the player selects a weapon, the ammunition supply for this weapon is also displayed. As in the previous version, the camera shows everything from the first person perspective. As a result, the player experiences the action from the eyes of the main character.

Multiplayer mode

Far Cry 4 offers a multiplayer mode that has significantly increased in scope compared to its predecessor. A new feature is the possibility to explore the game world together with another player. Although there are no campaign missions to choose from, both players can hunt animals and take over outposts of the royal army.

In addition, in the Battles of Kyrat mode, up to five players can compete against each other in three different game modes in teams of 20 minutes each. In the Outposts mode, players try to capture and hold certain points. In Propaganda mode , a team tries to destroy selected objects, which the opposing team must prevent. In Demon Mask mode, teams look for masks hidden in the game environment. This mode does not play on the same map on which the campaign takes place, but on a map specially developed for multiplayer battles. With the help of an in-game editor , players can also design their own maps for this mode.

Development history

Planning and development

Ubisoft Montreal directed the development of the game.

After the commercial success of Far Cry 3 , which was one of the best-selling titles of 2012, Ubisoft planned to produce a successor. Work on this began in early 2013, shortly after the predecessor was released. As with Far Cry 3 , development was led by Ubisoft Montreal . The Canadian studio was supported by Ubisoft Shanghai , which programmed some missions and the wildlife. Ubisoft Toronto was primarily responsible for the Shangri-La sections. The multiplayer components were developed by Red Storm Entertainment and Ubisoft Massive . The Ubisoft studio in Kiev ported the console versions created by the other studios for Windows.

Ubisoft Massive helped develop the multiplayer mode.

The lead developer was Alex Hutchinson, who was previously with Assassin's Creed III as a development lead, and Patrik Méthé, who helped develop Far Cry 3 . The plot was written by Lucien Soulban, who was involved in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon . Like its predecessor, Dan Hay was the producer.

Planning for the game began after the release of Assassin's Creed III . Initially, the development team considered building the new game to the story of Far Cry 3 . The sequel would also take place on Rook Island, the location of Far Cry 3, and take over its main characters. After a few days, however, they rejected the idea again. According to Hutchinson, they wanted to create a new game that plays independently and contains at most allusions to previous titles. That's why they also took on a supporting character from Far Cry 3 , the CIA agent Willis. Incidentally, 4 new characters have been designed for Far Cry . The developers dealt particularly intensively with the design of the opponent Pagan Min. Early concepts were similar to a punk rocker or the Libyan dictator Muammar al-Gaddafi , but the creators did not find these plans original enough. They later created a sadistic and narcissistic Chinese drug lord. They chose Min's pink suit based on the main character of the Japanese film Ichi the Killer .

Ubisoft Toronto developed the sections that play in Shangri-La.

The developers wanted to essentially take over the game mechanics from the predecessor and develop them further. Hay brought several ideas into the planning process that were later implemented, such as the possibility of riding elephants, attacking fortresses as particularly heavily guarded places and playing with aggressive animals in an exotic mountain landscape. Incidentally, the freely explorable game world, as one of the core elements of the game, should appear livelier and more diverse than it did in the previous game. It should also have more quests related to the main storyline. When designing the plot, Soulban attached great importance to integrating the game elements that the player encounters in the game world into the plot as well as possible. This was intended to remedy the point of criticism that was frequently expressed in the predecessor that the narrative and the actions of the player do not harmonize sufficiently with one another.

The developers wanted to expand the multiplayer part of the game significantly compared to Far Cry 3 . Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, saw the possibility of such a component to keep the game in the long term attractive to additional revenue by selling extensions to achieve the game. That is why the design of the multiplayer mode was an essential element right from the start of development. The cooperative mode , in which the players fight together in the game world against the royal army, should play a key role in the multiplayer component . Such a mode had already been planned and partially implemented for Far Cry 3 , but it was deleted from the finished product due to insufficient time for testing.

When designing the game world, the developers focused in particular on Nepal and Tibet . After deciding to cover this region in the new game, some developers traveled to Nepal to explore the region and make it as believable as possible. The studio also discussed making the Nepalese Civil War the theme of the game. However, they decided against it and instead described the story of a fictional state, since depicting a real event would have made it difficult to tell an entertaining and believable story. In addition, the game mechanics are not designed for this. After all, they wanted to avoid making the game look too serious and gloomy.

There was great disagreement among the studios during development on how to set up the Shangri-La game section. The purpose of the Shangri-La sequences was to make the Kyrat site a more believable setting by working out its own mythology. Initially, the plan was to design this area, like Kyrat, as a freely accessible play world. The developers later discarded this idea, not least because of lack of time, and constructed a linear game environment. This should visually clearly distinguish itself from Kyrat and appear like an old, natural world. The developers attached great importance to the color scheme of Shangri-La. This game world is essentially made up of the five colors red, gold, orange, white and blue, each of which has its own meaning. Gold, which serves as the background color, should convey the richness and warmth of this paradise. Red, which was mainly used in the vegetation and the water, should give the place something mythical. Orange was used to indicate key game elements that the player should interact with. White, which was used, for example, on flags, candles and animals, should symbolize the good. Blue colors served as an indication of dangers and are accordingly often used in fights.

Ubisoft worked with the US chip manufacturer Nvidia for the development . As a result, the game has been optimized for the company's modern technologies, such as temporary aliasing , HBAO + and uses Nvidia's physics engine PhysX . Like its two predecessors, Far Cry 4 uses the Dunia engine . This was further developed to take advantage of the performance of modern hardware. However, this further development was limited by the plan to also release the game for the older consoles PlayStation 3 (market launch 2006) and Xbox 360 (market launch 2005), which senior programmer Stephen McAuley viewed critically in a review.

On May 15, 2014, Ubisoft named November 18 of the same year as the expected release date. The title, which is currently under development, was presented to the public at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June 2014 in Los Angeles . There Ubisoft presented the introductory video and a short game sequence in which an outpost is captured. Another performance followed at Gamescom in Cologne at the beginning of August , in which a side mission and a Shangri-La section could be played.

At the end of the month, Ubisoft activated a website for the game. On October 30, 2014, the game was completed, so it was ready for release.

Sound and synchronization

The game music was composed by Cliff Martinez , who was responsible for the music for the film Drive , among other things . From November 4th it could be purchased on the Internet. A CD release followed on December 2nd in North America and on December 9th in Europe. In January 2016 the music was also released on record.

The following table provides an overview of the original speakers for the main roles and their role in the game.

publication

Far Cry 4 was released worldwide on November 18, 2014 for the consoles PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows. The game was linked to the Uplay distribution platform operated by Ubisoft , so customers had to link the game to a Uplay account, which means that the game cannot be resold. In addition to the standard version, which only contains the game itself, Ubisoft released Far Cry 4 in two different collector versions, each with different additional content. In addition to the game, the limited edition includes an expansion called Hurk's Redemption , which added additional weapons and missions to the game. This version was initially only available to pre-orderers. In addition to the game, the Kyrat Edition includes a statue of Pagan Min, a map of Kyrat, an advertising poster, a game manual and a collection box as well as the expansion Hurk's Redemption . This extension was developed by Ubisoft studios in Shanghai and Toronto. In addition, Ubisoft offered a Season Pass with which players could secure cheaper access to later expansions.

After the game was released, many players complained of serious bugs , such as crashes , incorrect saves , frame rates that were too low , incompatibilities with peripheral devices and incorrect animations. A patch was released on the day of publication that fixed many bugs. Further patches, which largely fixed these errors, followed in the next few months.

The fact that Ubisoft subsequently blocked some product codes required to install the game at the end of January 2015 also caused displeasure among gamers. Ubisoft removed the game from the Uplay library of the affected players. This meant that they could no longer access the product. The company justified its actions with the fact that these codes were acquired illegally, for example with the help of counterfeit credit cards, and referred the victims to their sellers. A few days later, on February 2nd, Ubisoft announced that it would reactivate the codes of the players who had successfully installed Far Cry 4 .

On January 13, 2015, an expansion for Far Cry 4 was released under the title Escape from the Durgesh Prison . It contains new missions that can be played individually or with a teammate. On January 27th, the expansion Hurk's Redemption, previously withheld from pre-order, was released in stores. On February 10, 2015, the third expansion, Overrun , was released for the console versions. For Windows it was released on February 12th. Overrun added a new multiplayer mode, new maps and a new vehicle to the game. On March 10th, the expansion Valley of the Yetis was released in North America, which expanded the game with a new small campaign that can be played alone or with a fellow player. The extension appeared on the European market a day later.

On June 18, 2015, the Far Cry 4 Complete Edition was released , which contains the game together with all expansions.

reception

Preliminary reporting

One of the game's first graphics, a version of the cover of Far Cry 4 , received attention . It showed a blond man in a pink suit, sitting on a throne and putting his hand on the head of a dark-skinned man. Some observers expressed concern that this was a racist and anti-gay portrayal. Brendan Sinclair accused Ubisoft of being careless about the issue of racism through the illustration. Project leader Hutchinson denied such a presentation and criticized the allegations as hasty and inaccurate.

A trailer for the game received criticism from Nepal. There, over 1,300 people spoke out against the characters in the trailer speaking Hindi instead of Nepali , although Kyrat was designed based on Nepal.

Far Cry 4 was praised by the audience at the fair . The website Digital Spy named the game as the best shooter of the E3. The online magazine IGN recognized the game as one of the best games at Gamescom. Andreas Link from PC Games Hardware magazine saw a lot of potential in the game to surpass its predecessor. The graphics are of outstanding quality and convince, for example, with high-resolution textures, elaborate parallax mapping and the realistic representation of skins. The playful innovations are also promising.

Far Cry 4 , like its predecessor, received largely positive reviews from the trade press. The online database Metacritic , which collects and evaluates test reports, calculated between 80 and 85 out of 100 points for the various versions of the game. The ratings for Far Cry 4 were slightly weaker than those of the predecessor.

The game world in particular received positive feedback. Carl Brännström wrote in a test for Gamereactor magazine that Kyrat was an exceptionally successful venue. The detailed and varied level design allow the player numerous approaches to pursue his goals. Petra Schmitz from GameStar magazine praised the fact that the game world offers many differently designed areas. Ubisoft Montreal has also chosen the Himalaya, a location seldom seen in games so far.

Most magazines also rated the plot of Far Cry 4 as largely successful . Mitch Dyer from IGN praised the way the conflict between Amita and Sabal grew as the game progressed. The ability to support either one lets them influence the course of the campaign. The other figures are less convincing. While the well-played Min appears too seldom, his officers are not sufficiently integrated into the plot. Josh Harmon of Electronic Gaming Monthly , however, praised the fact that the supporting characters are more involved in the plot than was the case in Far Cry 3 . GamesRadar's Edwin Evans-Thirlwell complained that the dispute between the leaders of the Golden Path was being treated too superficially. It could have had a much stronger effect on the course of the game than just influencing the goals in individual missions. In addition, the character of the main character is drawn consistently too pale and inconspicuous.

Nick Cowen from the British newspaper The Guardian described the great freedom of play as a decisive strength of Far Cry 4 . He welcomed the fact that the narrative leaves the player a lot of freedom by often being offered different choices that lead the plot in different directions. According to Carsten Görig from Spiegel magazine, this feature, which characterizes all Far Cry games, has been further expanded in the fourth part of the series compared to its predecessors. Steve Tilley of the Canadian newspaper Toronto Sun noted, however, that Far Cry 4, despite its innovations, has many parallels to its direct predecessor. But this is not unpleasant because of the entertaining gameplay. The large number of orders that are kept ready for the player is also convincing, even if the many side missions distract from the main storyline. Benjamin Schmädig from the German online magazine 4Players , on the other hand, saw a flaw in the title's abundance of game content. The play area loses a lot of realism due to inconsequential side missions and mini-games, such as the races or the fights in the arena. Aids such as marking opponents or the autopilot of the vehicles do not fit into the game world either. The extremely aggressive animal world that attacks the player almost permanently is also unpleasant. Sparky Clarkson of Gamecritics saw the amount of poorly matched content as an attempt to make up for weaknesses and lack of innovation in game design. Andy Kelly from the English-language trade magazine PC Gamer criticized the flow of some missions. The player often receives tight guidelines under which he must complete his mission. This doesn't blend in well with the otherwise great playful freedom that Far Cry 4 offers. Graham Smith of the online magazine Rock, Paper, Shotgun described the campaign missions as the biggest weakness of the title, as their linearity seems like a foreign body in the game.

Dyer praised that the fights had become more demanding than in the previous one. This is particularly noticeable in attacks on outposts. This means that the player is required to use the various approaches that the game has in store for combat situations effectively. Matti Sandqvist from PC Games criticized, however, that the main missions are in places too difficult and have too few save points . According to Brännström, the artificial intelligence that controls the computer opponents convinces with unpredictable actions. This also comes into its own with the animal world, which offers exciting game sequences through random attacks. Alexander Bohn-Elias from the online magazine Eurogamer praised the fact that the game made an excellent visual impression and, in particular, had good lighting effects. Controlling the figure with a gamepad is, however, too imprecise .

The multiplayer mode received mixed reviews. Destructoid's Chris Carter said it was neither useful nor annoying. It offers nothing new and is below average compared to the competition. Dyer, on the other hand, saw the mode positively because, like the single player mode, it offers great playful freedom. Cowen also rated the multiplayer component as a good addition, even if the focus of the game was the much more extensive and varied single player part.

Sales figures

Far Cry 4 had the best launch of any Far Cry title. In the first week of sales, 1.8 million units of the game were sold worldwide , according to a survey by the VG Chartz website . Most of the sales were on the PlayStation 4 version, of which 1.02 million were sold. This was followed by the Xbox One version with 327,525 sales, the PlayStation 3 version with 191,358 sales and the Xbox 360 version with 138,266 sales. The Windows version was at the bottom with 126,514 copies sold. By the end of 2014, Ubisoft expected over six million copies of the game to be sold. That expectation was exceeded with over seven million copies of Far Cry 4 sold in the final quarter of 2014.

According to a survey by the market research company was Far Cry 4 across platforms, the second most successful game of the year behind in the UK Grand Theft Auto V . In the US market, the game was ranked sixth across platforms according to data from the NPD Group for the month of November. The PlayStation 4 version was the most successful, while the fewest copies were sold of the Windows version. In December 2014 and January 2015, the game stayed there in seventh place.

successor

After the release of Far Cry 4 , the responsible studios began work on a new title in the series. At the beginning of October 2015, Ubisoft announced this under the name Far Cry Primal . The company gave the Stone Age as the scenario . The game was released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on February 23, 2016. A Windows implementation followed on March 1.

The player takes on the role of Takkar, a member of the Wenja tribe who is trying to set up a new camp for his tribe. The game mechanics of Primal build on those of its predecessor. Firearms, vehicles and other items that were not yet invented in the Stone Age have been removed. The struggle for survival in nature has come to the fore. Among other things, the player has to collect food and protect himself from the cold.
