The Game Informer ( GI ) is an American video game magazine and contains reviews, previews and articles on all gaming platforms. Game Informer is the third best-selling magazine in the US due to its circulation and appears monthly.
history
The magazine was created in August 1991 and had six pages in the first issue. It was published by Funcoland . In 2000 the magazine was bought by the computer game retail chain Games Stop Corporation . In 2009 the design of the magazine and the website were completely revised. The editions currently reach over eight million subscribers. This makes the magazine the top-selling video game magazine in the United States and the third-highest-circulation publication. The magazine is considered one of the most important in the world.

The Game Informer consists largely of game reviews for the Wii , the PlayStation 3 , the Xbox 360 , the PC, the Nintendo 3DS and the PlayStation Vita . In addition, old games find their way into the magazine via articles, such as tips etc. The games are rated according to a fixed ranking. Points with a value of 1 to 10 are awarded, with 10 points representing the maximum value. So far, only 22 games have received the maximum number of points. Mass Effect 3 was so far the last game to be rated with 10 points.

The magazine went online in 1996 and posted news and new articles on a daily basis. In 2003 the website was completely redesigned and since then has offered additional content for subscribers to the magazine. In 2009 there was a further redesign of the website, in which the design was adapted to that of the magazine. Since then you have had a uniform design.
