Far Cry 6 is a first person shooter developed by Ubisoft Toronto . As the sixth major part of the Far Cry -Spielereihe it is on February 18, 2021 Microsoft Windows , PlayStation 4 , PlayStation 5 , Xbox One , Xbox Series X and Google Stadia appear.
The game is set on Yara, a fictional, Cuba- inspired Caribbean island ruled by "El Presidente" Antón Castillo as a dictatorship who is raising his son Diego. The player takes on the role of a guerrilla fighter who tries to recapture the island for his people.
Gameplay
Far Cry 6 is an action-adventure - first person shooter game. The gameplay ties in with previous Far Cry games, where players use makeshift weapons and vehicles and hire amigos, the new "fangs for hire" system, to overthrow the tyrannical regime .

Far Cry 6 takes place on the fictional, Cuba- inspired Caribbean island of Yara, described as "Far Cry's largest playground yet" and "a tropical paradise frozen in time ". It is ruled by "El Presidente" Antón Costillo ( Giancarlo Esposito ), a dictator with full control over the island, who guides his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez), unsure of his future, to follow in his footsteps. Esposito described his character as a leader "trying to empower the people to understand that they need strong leadership now," but he is stuck in the middle of a revolution . Esposito said that Antón was born into a wealthy position but could not take over the rulership of the island until his father had dealt with the revolutionaries, and now, at the time of the game, “he is trying to empower his son, his To take over Mantel and really embrace ideas that would allow him to see that soon he would likely be the next leader in this country ”.
The player slips into the role of a local Yaran named Dani Rojas, a guerrilla soldier fighting for freedom who tries to restore his nation to its former glory; Dani's gender can be selected at the beginning of the game.
Location
As with the previous games in the Far Cry series, Far Cry 6 is an open world game in which the player can explore the entire world and interact with it. The game world is divided into three types of vegetation: Jungle , beaches and Yara's capital Esperanza.

Far Cry 6 had been in production for four years at the time of the July 2020 announcement, with Ubisoft Toronto being the main studio for the game. Narrative director Navid Khavari said they had started researching past revolutions . They came across the idea of the modern guerrilla revolution such as the Cuban revolution , which gave them numerous ideas on how to drive the player character into the fight against a repressive government . This also brought back the need to give voice to the player character Dani Rojas, compared to the recent Far Cry games where the protagonist was silent. Khavari said, "It was important for us to ensure that the protagonist had a personal investment in this revolution." Using Cuba as an influence also established and lent a return to a tropical setting, a feature of the earlier Far Cry Games the area had a "timeless" look due to economic blockades that had been imposed on the island, with which old vehicles were mixed with modern weapons. Khavari spent a month in Cuba and spoke to the residents there to develop the setting.
In early July 2020, news of a new Far Cry game was suspected when actor Giancarlo Esposito mentioned that he had recently participated in a "giant video game" that included voice recording and motion capture . Shortly thereafter, rumors of Leaks of Far Cry 6's existence surfaced, including screenshots showing a character resembling Esposito. Ubisoft confirmed the existence of the game a few days before it was fully announced through social media and fully revealed the game in the Ubisoft Forward Online event on July 12, 2020.
Anthony Gonzalez speaks alongside Esposito and is used as a character model for Diego via motion capture. Esposito and Gonzalez had done the motion capture and voice recordings for the game's trailer before the game's narration was recorded as it gave the developers the time to create the game's character models themselves. Pedro Bromfman composed the music for the game. Khavari said they had provided Esposito with background material to help him prepare to record the game, and during those sessions he found that Esposito “had already done so much research based on the material we sent him had hired. He showed his characters astonishing empathy, and he showed Anton the same empathy that I hadn't expected ”.
