Frank Voss
Frank Voss (born December 11, 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German actor , theater director and radio play speaker .
Life
From 1979 to 1982 Frank Voss completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk in his native city, before he was trained as an actor by Maria Körber from 1986 to 1988 . In addition, he took singing lessons from Silke Nikowski . In the 1988/89 season Voss made his debut at the Bamberg ETA-Hoffmann-Theater , further stages of his stage career were the Stadttheater Ingolstadt , the Theater Dortmund , the drama and the Theater im Bauturm in Cologne, the Theater Bielefeld , the Grenzlandtheater Aachen , the Bonn Contra -Kreis-Theater , in Frankfurt / Main the Komödie and the Fritz Rémond Theater as well as the Alte Schauspielhaus Stuttgart .
Voss played roles as diverse as Jerry in Edward Albee's zoo story , the Templar in Nathan the Wise by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing , the title role in William Shakespeare's drama Macbeth , George in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee, Werner Heisenberg in Copenhagen by Michael Frayn or the Selim Bassa in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Singspiel Die Entführung aus dem Serail .
Voss also played the character of Wolf Heider on various stages in the comedy Frau Müller muss weg von Lutz Hübner . At the same time he directed the Contra Kreis Theater and the Fritz Rémond Theater. Voss also staged in Aachen, including Friedrich Schiller's drama Maria Stuart . His productions of Macbeth in the version by Heiner Müller and Roland Topors Winter under the table at the Eduard-von-Winterstein-Theater in Annaberg-Buchholz received invitations to the Saxon Theatertreffen.
Frank Voß has also been working extensively in front of the camera since the early 2000s. Here he was seen in films like Die Wilde Hühner , the two-part Contergan or the film drama Year of the Dragon . Voss is and has often been cast as a guest actor in well-known series, for example in Stadtklinik , Die Pfefferkörner , SOKO Cologne or Pastewka . He played recurring characters in the series All Years Again , Danni Lowinski , Der Lehrer and Die Anrheiner .
Frank Voss is also active in advertising and works as a radio play speaker. He has one son and lives near Cologne.
