Every year again

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Every year is one of the most famous Christmas carols . His text was written by Wilhelm Hey in 1837 . The most popular melody is usually attributed to Friedrich Silcher , who published it in his song cycle Twelve Children's Songs from the appendix to Speckter's book of fables from 1842. Another melody version comes from Ernst Anschütz . Another melody, to which the song is also sung, was composed by Christian Heinrich Rinck in 1827; Today it is mostly sung to Hoffmann von Fallersleben's poem Evening it will be sung again .

Every year
the Christ Child comes
down to earth
where we are;

Come with his blessing
into every house,
Walk in
and out with us on all paths ;

I am also by my side,
quiet and unrecognized,
That it guides me faithfully
By the dear hand.
