Jörg Grünler
Jörg Grünler (born November 9, 1945 in Apolda ) is a German film director and screenwriter .
Life
From 1987 to 1991 Grünler was the author and director of the family television series The Happy Family with Maria Schell and Siegfried Rauch , Susanna Wellenbrink , Julia Heinemann and Maria Furtwängler in the leading roles.
After that, he mainly filmed crime series such as Die Kommissarin , Stockinger , Der Bulle von Tölz and Inspektor Rolle . In 2006 Grünler directed the television film Neger, Neger, Schornsteinfeger! , a film adaptation of the autobiography of the German-Liberian Hans-Jürgen Massaquoi . In 2009 he was the director of Håkan Nesser's television film Mensch ohne Hund in the Inspektor Barbarotti series . From 2011 to 2016 he directed six episodes of the ten-part television series Love at the Fjord .

Awards
In addition to the Max Ophüls Audience Award , which he received in 1993 for his work on the literary adaptation Krücke , Grünler was also nominated for the German Film Award for the same film . He also received an award at the International Family Film Festival for the children's film The Tenth Summer (2003).
