Ian Ritchie
Ian Ritchie CBE RA (born June 24, 1947 in Sussex , England ) is a British architect who is due to the style of high-tech architecture around Lord Norman Foster and Sir Richard Rogers .
Life
His career began in 1978 as an employee in Ove Arup's office and subsequently in collaboration with Peter Rice, who mainly dealt with light steel and glass constructions. Together with Peter Francis, they founded the RFR office, with which they developed the glass façades in Park La Villette (Paris) and the construction of the Louvre pyramid. In 1981 Ian Ritchie founded his own practice, Ian Ritchie Architects, in London. Furthermore, the idea of cooperation between different disciplines such as ethical and ecological principles determine his style significantly.
Ritchie was elected as a new member of the architecture section at the spring general meeting of the Berlin Academy of the Arts on May 25, 2013.
