Bermondsey is an underground station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Southwark . It is in the Travelcard tariff zone 2 on Jamaica Road. In 2014, 9.38 million passengers used this station served by the Jubilee Line .

The station, which opened on September 17, 1999, was the terminus for a week before the section to Waterloo began operations. The station building designed by Ian Ritchie is almost completely transparent. A dome and walls made of glass allow daylight to pass unhindered down to the platforms. The dome is supported by stainless steel supports that reflect the sun's rays.

As in the other tunnel stations of the Jubilee Line extension opened in 1999, the platforms in Bermondsey are separated from the tracks by platform screen doors .
